The 500ml Sterile Saline Eyewash Solution is an essential first aid product designed to provide rapid and effective irrigation of eyes contaminated by dust, dirt, smoke, chemicals, or airborne particles. Formulated as a sterile 0.9% saline solution, it helps flush away irritants and reduce the risk of further injury, making it an indispensable addition to workplace first aid provision.
In accordance with HSE guidance, workplaces where there is a risk of eye contamination and no immediate access to running water should have at least two 500ml bottles of eyewash readily available. This bottle provides half of that recommended minimum quantity and can also be used for cleansing wounds when required, offering additional flexibility during first aid treatment.
Supplied with a long 5-year expiry date from manufacture, the eyewash solution delivers dependable long-term storage and excellent value. Each bottle is specifically designed as a single-use device. Once opened, the contents can no longer be guaranteed sterile and the bottle cannot be resealed. Any remaining solution should therefore be safely discarded after use, in line with HSE guidance and best practice.
