The Trauma Dressing is a specialist wound care product designed specifically for major bleeds and serious injuries involving significant blood loss. Unlike standard first aid dressings, this trauma dressing combines a large, highly absorbent wound pad with a pressure bandage system, helping responders manage severe bleeding quickly and effectively.
The dressing features an extra-large absorbent pad measuring 15 x 18cm, capable of absorbing substantially greater volumes of blood than traditional HSE dressings. Positioned centrally on a highly elasticated bandage, the design allows users to apply sustained pressure directly to the wound—an essential technique for helping control blood loss in emergency situations.
Application is quick and straightforward thanks to the hook and loop style fastening, allowing the dressing to be secured rapidly even under pressure. Supplied vacuum packed, it takes up minimal storage space, making it ideal for inclusion in critical injury kits, bleed control packs, vehicle first aid kits, trauma bags, and emergency response equipment.
