The Care Home Emergency Evacuation Kit is a comprehensive emergency preparedness solution designed specifically for the safe, efficient and organised evacuation of residents from care homes, nursing homes, residential care facilities and assisted living environments.
Available in Standard 20-Person and Large 50-Person versions, these specialist evacuation kits provide essential equipment to help care staff and evacuation co-ordinators manage emergencies while protecting the wellbeing of vulnerable residents.
Each kit includes thermal foil blankets and waterproof ponchos, providing one of each for every resident being evacuated. These essential items help keep residents warm and dry during evacuations, particularly when waiting outdoors in cold, wet or unpredictable weather conditions.
A key feature is the inclusion of 100 write-on patient identification wristbands and permanent markers, enabling care staff to quickly identify residents and support accurate tracking throughout the evacuation process. This is particularly important in care home environments where residents may have communication difficulties or require additional assistance.
The kits also include a comprehensive British Standard BS8599 first aid kit, providing essential medical supplies for treating injuries during or after an evacuation. The Standard kit includes first aid provision for up to 25 people, while the Large kit contains a more comprehensive kit suitable for up to 100 people in low-risk environments.
High-visibility vests and torches with batteries help evacuation co-ordinators remain clearly identifiable and safely manage residents in low-light conditions. The Large 50-Person kit is designed to support two evacuation co-ordinators, with additional equipment for effective team working.
Supplied in a highly visible red emergency backpack or shoulder bag, clearly marked 'Evacuation Kit', the equipment can be conveniently stored and rapidly deployed when required.
Ideal for care homes, nursing homes, retirement residences and supported living facilities, these specialist kits provide a practical, organised solution for emergency evacuation planning.
